Here is your chance to gain a thorough understanding of the Catechism! Once again this summer, the Archdiocese is offering a Certification Program entitled “Mastery of the Catechism”. This program is designed to assist Principals, Pastoral Assistants for Faith Formation, Catechists, and other adult learners who have a desire to truly understand and gain a mastery the Catechism so that they may better integrate its teachings into their faith formation programs and into their own lives of faith.
This is a four-year program that is offered in four sessions, one per year. Session One, Two and Four are being offered this summer for those of you who want to get started at the beginning (Year 1), and for those participants who are continuing (Year 2 and Year 4). A flyer with all of the details is attached. Here are the date and locations:
Year 1 July 14-18 St. Charles Borromeo, Tacoma
Year 2 June 23-27 St. Benedict, Seattle
Year 4 July 27- Aug. 1 The Palisades, Federal Way
Schedule: Each of these weeklong seminars begins on Sunday evening and ends on Friday after lunch. The 8 am – 5 pm sessions will include time for prayer, presentations, small group work and integration strategy. There will also be optional evening sessions with guest speakers.
Fees: The program fee is $325/person/week. Lodging and meals are additional and available for the Palisades site only. (A registration form is attached)
