O, Lord, my soul proclaims your greatness. With the psalmist today I sing:
Proclaim God’s marvelous deeds to all the nations.
Sing to the LORD a new song;
sing to the LORD, all you lands.
Sing to the LORD; bless his name.
Announce his salvation, day after day.
Tell his glory among the nations;
among all peoples, his wondrous deeds.
For great is the LORD and highly to be praised;
You never cease, O God, loving us whom you made “in your image and likeness”. We strive to follow Your Son, Jesus Christ, living His Commandment of Love and always giving thanks to You.
Today, the memorial of St. Rose of Lima, virgin, the first canonized saint of the New World called America, proclaimed what she herself lived by your Grace – the greatness of a life of Grace, the beauty of Divine Grace. “If only mortals would learn how great it is to possess divine grace, how beautiful, how noble, how precious. How many riches it hides within itself, how many joys and delights!” (from Office of Readings). Yes, indeed, my God, You are all we need. You are our fulfillment, our joy, our happiness, our all. You are the Bridegroom of the Church, the Bride of Christ, and you are the Bridegroom of every soul consecrated to you as bride of Christ, by Faith.
O Divine Grace, Pure Love, may He be our Glory, “that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in [us],
and [we] in him,
in accord with the grace of our God and Lord Jesus Christ.” |
